2. What is the recommended airport to fly into?
Portugal has two international airports: Lisbon and Porto. The closest to our event is obviously Porto. If you fly into Lisbon, you can take another flight to Porto or take the train (max 3 hours).
3. HOTEL IN PorTO
Porto has wonderful hotels and apartments and airbnb’s to offer. If you want to indulge yourself in luxury while staying in Porto, we’d recommend the Yeatman which is a few minutes walk from the conference centre WOW in Vila Nova de Gaia.

4. MY PARTNER WANTS TO JOIN ME TO PORTO. CAN HE/SHE/THEY JOIN ME?
The Women in Wine Expo is solely for women in wine. Sometimes we make exceptions at the tour and the other parts of the event.

5. DO I NEED A VISA?
That depends on where you come from. Please check your own governments website if you need a visa to Portugal. Or you check out this portal of the Portuguese government.
6. What time does the Women in wine Expo start and end?
The Women in Wine Expo kicks off on Wednesday, 8th of May at 7 pm. We welcome all our attendees that night for a meet & greet, at Taylor’s Port. Address: Rua do Choupelo, 250, Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto, Portugal 4400-088. Please bring a bottle of wine from your own country, so that we have a table full of international wines. We will take care of welcoming bubbles and nibbles.
Thursday 9th of May the Masterclasses will be held at The Rebello. Address is: Cais de Gaia 380, 4400-245, Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto. The Rebello is only a ten minute walk from the WOW Cultural District. We start at 9.30 am until 5 pm after which you have a free evening (and maybe enjoy a wonderful drink at The Rebello’s fabulous rooftop bar).
Friday 10th of May we start with the conference at 9 am. With keynotes and panel sessions including cold lunch (around 1 pm), followed by several wine experiences at the World of Wine. The wine tasting in the afternoon is from 5 - 7 pm. All of this happens at the WOW Centre. Address: Rua do Choupelo, 39, Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto, Portugal 4400-088.

Yes! The Women in Wine Expo is for wine professionals and students in wine programs. This is a great place to network with likeminded women from all aspects of the wine industry.
