Welcome
WIWE 2026 has been thoughtfully designed to combine carefully curated gatherings with the freedom for each participant to explore ProWein at their own pace. Our goal is to create meaningful moments to connect, learn, and celebrate, while leaving space for personal discovery at the world’s largest wine fair.
We begin the weekend with a Düsseldorf Beer Tour, guided by Hendrik through the historic Altstadt. Taste beers at two iconic local breweries, discover the city’s rich brewing culture, and enjoy a lively, social introduction to the weekend — the perfect way to meet fellow women in wine in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
That evening, we gather at Weinstube En de Canon, a historic tavern in the heart of Düsseldorf where Napoleon is said to have dined. Enjoy flammkuchen paired with German wines, and don’t forget to bring your own favorite bottle. The Meet & Greet is designed as a warm, informal evening to connect, share stories, and celebrate the community of women in wine.
Sunday, 15 March is dedicated to a free visit to ProWein, allowing everyone to follow their own schedule and interests. We will close the day at 5:00 PM with the Vinissima Cava Tasting at the Schott Zwiesel stand. For those who wish to continue networking and sharing experiences, we will gather again in the evening at Weinstube En de Canon.
On Monday, 16 March, WIWE is honored to host the Masterclass Her Terroir. Her Story at ProWein, taking place from 4:00 – 5:00 PM at Hall 6, Stand N105. The session highlights the terroirs, stories, and leadership of women winemakers in cool-climate regions. Following the Masterclass, participants are invited to stay a bit for informal networking and exchange.
Exact times and locations for all WIWE events will be communicated a few weeks prior to ProWein.

Düsseldorf in a Pint: A Guided Beer Tour
Although we all come from the world of wine, we felt it was time to step outside our comfort zone and discover beer — and what better place to do that than Düsseldorf, one of the great beer cities of the world. On this relaxed tour, you’ll taste two local Altbiers, hear fun stories about the Altstadt, and explore some of the city’s highlights.
Here’s a message from your tour guide:
Hi, I’m Hendrik — your personal guide and Düsseldorf & Altbier enthusiast.
I’ve been leading tours for over 10 years, sharing great breweries, tasting proper Altbier, and showing visitors the best of my city. In just 90–120 minutes, we’ll visit the oldest street in the Altstadt, two amazing breweries (one with a female head brewer), the world’s longest bar, the harbor, the leaning tower of Düsseldorf, and more. It will be my pleasure to share the city and its beer with you.
See you in Düsseldorf!🍺
WIWE MEET & GREET
Weinstube En de Canon will be our cozy meeting point before the Beer Tour and the perfect spot to return for our meet & greet night. Nestled in a beautiful historic building right by the Rhine in the heart of Düsseldorf’s Altstadt, this charming tavern has a long history and is said to have hosted Napoleon. Its warm, wood-accented atmosphere makes it the perfect place to soak up the city’s unique combination of tradition, riverfront charm, and vibrant local culture.
During our evening gathering, we’ll enjoy Flammkuchen — the Alsace-style thin pizza — and sip a selection of German wines as well as international wines, so don’t forget to bring a bottle from your own country to share! It’s a relaxed, friendly way to swap stories, toast to new connections, and unwind after an afternoon of exploring Düsseldorf’s streets, breweries, and lively atmosphere.
